In a time where our world is full of turmoil and uncertainty, people take very little time to stop and reflect on how fortunate they truly are. We typically stop and reflect on these things during certain times of the year or when the world is dealing with a crisis. However, here at Xamin, we are looking to give back to our community, to give to those in needs all year long. This month, Xamin has launched the #XaminGivesBack initiative, in which our Xamin family will come together several times a year to give back to our community.

“The entire Xamin team is happy to give back to those in need. By Xamin launching a program to give back, it helps us all to keep in mind that there is more to life than just working and living in our world.”, says Xamin’s President and CTO, Erik Gustafson. “There is more happiness in giving than receiving, and we hope that this program will reflect that spirit.”

Xamin’s first project was visiting the CAWC (Connections for Abused Women and their Children), in downtown Chicago. Our team voted on the charity that was important to them, and our staff unanimously chose CAWC as our first charity for the #xamingivesback initiative.

Did you know? *

– 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in the United States have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner.

– On a typical day, domestic violence hotlines receive approximately 21,000 calls, an average of close to 15 calls every minute.

–  Intimate partner violence accounts for 15% of all violent crime.

Our entire team was proud and happy to give to a charity that supports and protects victims of domestic violence and looks forward to working with the next organization in our community Xamin can assist and give back to.

“Thanks to the generous gift from Xamin, CAWC will be able to help even more women and children survivors of domestic violence in the New Year. Thank you Xamin! “

– Kevin D. Feldman, Development Director of CAWC
